My educational beliefs are based on the principle that making mistakes is essential to learning. I believe in providing ample opportunities for students to experiment, take creative risks, and fail. It's an excellent practice for real-world problem-solving. Because I believe every learner can be creative, I intend to design learning experiences that encourage them to tap into their creative potential and apply it to the world. Meaningful learning occurs through the processes of navigating ambiguity, learning from unfamiliar contexts, synthesising information, abductive thinking, rapid analysis, and deliberate communication. As an educator, I aim to instill knowledge and strengthen the skills necessary for students to investigate solutions to real-world problems.

About Me: Welcome

Welcome to my e-portfolio!

The portfolio serves to reflect my growth throughout my professional terms and beyond!

 

Being an educator has become more than a job for me; it has become a way of life. My own educational experience shaped me into the educator I am today, who believes that learning can and should challenge how and what we think and thus whom we become. I've always had a passion for education. Through my teaching, I hope to pass on my passion for learning and enthusiasm for knowledge. Not only do I hope to engage students in fascinating aspects of my discipline, but also to instil a desire for lifelong learning in them. 
 

I am confident in people's ability to learn and that they do so primarily through experience and reflection. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to create learning environments that maximise students' opportunities for meaningful and transformative learning experiences. In any role, whether formal or informal, whether as "instructor" or "student," I seek to learn and teach. It is critical, in my opinion, to view the student-teacher relationship as co-constructed. As much as I hope students learn from me, I am equally appreciative of the knowledge I gain from them. I believe that authority and responsibility for learning are mutually shared in the classroom setting. As part of this collaborative process, I must reflect on my learning approach, style, and biases.
 

Additionally, it requires that I recognise that students learn differently and at varying levels of ability and that my teaching must be sensitive to each student's unique needs. I enjoy the challenge of attempting to explain complex concepts in an approachable, interesting, and engaging manner. I am interested in experimenting with novel and innovative methods of engaging students in the teaching-learning process.

I aspire to enhance as an educator; who impacts and changes the lives of learners by exposing them to the state of the art perspectives, approaches, notions, and solutions. I endeavor to strengthen the learner's mindset motivated by intellectual curiosity, and attempted to find new sources of ideas, new associations, and new paradigms, especially outside their regular driving environment. I would also choose to assist in fostering school involvement within communities and community involvement within the school. Furthermore, growing as a leader to further support schools in accomplishing their goals.
