A Foldable is a three-dimensional, student-made interactive graphic organizer based upon a skill. Making a Foldable gives students a fast, kinesthetic activity that helps them organize and retain information either before, during, or after study unit. They are multi-dimensional graphic organizers that can be used for skills reinforcement, practice, and/or information organizing. They reinforce skills and strategies essential for reading success; they provide a kinesthetic tool for organizing and analyzing learning. Grade 8 Students created a wheel foldable on Plate Boundaries and enjoyed doing this as it has all of the information in one location and they now have a handheld study tool.
