Grade 8 Geography class was introduced to a scenario wherein they had to impersonate the role of a Mayor. They had to consider that as a Mayor, their town Volcanius, is located in the north of Iceland. Since the volcano, Mount Eruptalot, erupted last year and killed most of the land and residency in town and therefore most of the inhabitants have walked away, and the area now stands in decay.
To prevent the town from becoming vacant, they now need to promote new people from around the world to drive into the town. They, therefore, investigated the benefits of the volcano and produced a leaflet and pamphlets promoting the town.
